Moments after the Kansas City Chiefs' 2024 NFL schedule was released, one of the team's injured players took to X (formerly Twitter) to hint at the target date for his return.
Chiefs DL Charles Omenihu suffered a torn ACL during the AFC Championship Game win over the Baltimore Ravens. Because of the injury, Omeninhu couldn't face his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, in Super Bowl LVIII. He had successful surgery to repair the injury in February and has kept fans updated on his injury rehab and recovery on his YouTube channel.
Now, with the 2024 schedule known, Omenihu seemingly has a target date for his return set.

So, when does Omenihu expect to be back in action? His next post on X hints that he'll return to action for the Black Friday (Friday, Nov. 29) game against the Las Vegas Raiders at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 13. He shared a video and picture of his sack against the Raiders during the Christmas Day loss in 2023.

Omenihu appeared in 11 games with one start during the regular season in 2023, recording 28 total tackles, five tackles for loss, seven sacks, two passes batted, and two forced fumbles in that span. He appeared in three playoff games, recording three total tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble.
No, 90 might not be part of the initial plan in 2024 as he recovers from injury, but he can certainly provide a boost on the defensive side of the ball should he return to action in the second half of the season. He'd potentially play in five AFC games after Week 13, including matchups with the Chargers, Browns, Texans, Steelers, and Broncos.
